Just as the Do Not Call Registry freed Americans from telemarketers, a Do Not Mail Registry would give us the choice to stop junk mailers from violating our privacy, wasting our time and damaging the environment.

It's completely unnecessary. If I am interested in something I will search the net to find it.

I never read 99.99% of the junk mail that I receive. Some of the mail is from the same companies that I never read, so they're sending me repeated offers that I have no intention of ever even reading, let alone applying for. I would love to be able to opt out of all of that unsolicited mail.

It is incredibly frustrating for me to have my mailbox filled with junk that wastes my time in sorting through, and then gets sent straight into the recycle bin.

The amount of junk mail is growing. It is a complete waste, most goes into recycling unopened. This means trees are wasted and that is criminal. Tell these advertisers to use the internet.

It bothers me when I receive junk mail especially when it is stuff one doesn't ask for. Then I am responsible for throwing it out!

Enough already! If I want to buy from you I will either specifically request a catalog, or I will look for you online. Unsolicited catalogs and mailings go right in the bin, unopened. Stop wasting my time, your money, and our planet's resources!

The junk mail goes straight to my waste basket. These days, all the info contained in this junk mail can be found on the internet. Junk mail serves no purpose but to kill our forests and negatively impact climate change.
