Junk mail and Canada's Boreal Forest
Canada’s forests are being devastated to make catalogues and junk mail
In Canada, it’s estimated that each home receives between 550 and 800
pieces of junk mail every single year, which means that more than 16
billion flyers are distributed to Canadian homes annually.
In the United States, each home receives on average 800 pieces of junk mail.
Junk mail does more than waste our time and invade our privacy: it
contributes to global warming and causes the destruction of Endangered
Forests like Canada’s Boreal Forest, including the habitat of
endangered species like woodland caribou.
